Illustrate: Feature in Cartoon Map IV

Ok, as promise, this time is it is the group of Thai dance.

And here is when the image of this group dance with the pavilion in the cartoon map.

I tried to make it goes along with the perspective of the cartoon map but as you can see, the perspective of cartoon map is a bit hard to see so I hope I made it ok.

The every graphics in cartoon map belong to Soi Sanook Company in Thailand.

Photo Manipulation: YggDrasil

This belong to one of project from my class. It started from 1 keyword, street. This short essay is how I got the idea for my work;

" It’s the midday so the heat is extremely cruel. As I was stuck in the middle of the road because of the famous traffic jam of Bangkok, I found out that the heat wasn’t that cruel like in ten minutes before. So I look up through the window of the car that I was in and see the giant shade over my car and several cars in that area. The first thought that rush into my mind was this shade must belong to the really big tree but after I notice more about the giant thing upon my head it turns to be the station of skytrain that provide me the shade just like trees usually do.  But if it’s tree, it must be really gigantic one and it’s also capable to take us to many different place, since we can go to different place by this concrete enormous tree then we must be able to learn many things from it too. It stands tall, high and huge and connects to many place, gather many knowledge just like the Yggdrasil, the legendary tree."

In case you want to know, Yggdrasil is the legendary tree from Norse Mythology. It's the giant that connects 3 worlds of heaven, human world and hell, together and it also the places where knowledge from 3 worlds is gather there.

So I started to work with photo manipulation technique and create artworks of the merging between skytrain station and tree.

These are first 2 images that I created. People in my class quite like these images but for me, I don't really like it that much because I think it looks too much like some post card so I created a new one.

I quite like this image. It likes it is saying to the audience "Welcome to Hell" which I really like it because it's not just some picture of some beautiful view and nice perspective that will be a good post card for souvenir but it is an image that will be able to speak to the audience too.

White Forest

This is from one of my project about color at my university.

The project is to choose a song, verse, poem that mention color and make some image that can present the song.

The verse that I choose is:

"Holding my last breath
Safe inside myself
Are all my thoughts of you
Sweet raptured light
It ends here tonight

I'll miss the winter
A world of fragile things
Look for me in the white forest hiding in a hollow tree
(Come find me)
I know you hear me
I can taste it in your tears"

The song is "My Last Breath" by Evanescence

I interpret the phrase "Look for me in the white forest hiding in a hollow tree" as spiritual forest not just a winter forest since she is dying and her soul will always be waiting.

So I make the image of the white forest that gives the feeling of loneliness and spiritual with a woman in old gothic dress standing, like waiting (I really like gothic dress, I think it can represent spiritual nicely).

Photo Manipulation I : Game Addiction

These are all from my Thesis project. The concept come from that I really like to play game a lot so this work is presenting my addicted.

The work itself present the world that I wish it to be, the world that fantasy things is there from the beginning.

I just want story, experience in game happend to me in the real world.

Because of the concept and the way I present my work, this is funny and crazy project so does my works.

This is my final artwork for this project. The real one that I use is really big. It's 6x3 meter. I printed it really big because I want the feeling that this image is the world that fantasy exist not just some image with fantasy.

I decided to let my figure dress normally because I want to maintain the personality that people don't think that I play game this much.

The letter on my dress is flip because that isn't me that living in the real world, it's me in my imagination world. The idea of flip the letter is like the idea of mirror.

If you stand next to the work and rephotograph it, it will look like you are really in that world which is something that I think it's really cool.

The rest are the images that I make in the process to find my final artwork.

I get the game interface from Kingdom Hearts and retouch and change it abit so it would go along with the image and the concept.
